RealData retired. Your workflow doesn't have to.
RealData stopped selling its software on April 30, 2026, and support ended May 30. If you chose it because you wanted serious analysis with real modeling depth (computed on your own machine, bought once, no subscription meter running), that niche didn't disappear. It just changed hands.
BuyBox is a deal analyzer for 1-4 unit BRRRR and buy-and-hold investors, in your browser today, with the Windows desktop app rolling out to the early-access list. The analysis is computed on your own device, every number shows its work (hover any metric for the formula and inputs behind it), and like the tool you're leaving, you can own it outright: Pro Lifetime is $349, one time.
What carries over
The questions RealData users actually ask
Can I import my REIA files?
Start fresh, and it takes minutes rather than hours: a Quick Analysis is an address and a handful of numbers. Your RealData licenses keep working for deals already in flight, so nothing you've done is stranded. BuyBox is for the next ones.
Does BuyBox do after-tax, partnership or commercial modeling?
BuyBox is built for 1-4 unit BRRRR and buy-and-hold: screening, underwriting, refinance mechanics and 30-year projections, pre-tax. That focus is why the 1-4 unit math goes as deep as it does. After-tax and partnership modeling stay with your accountant.
Where does my data live?
BuyBox runs its analysis on your own device: the math is computed locally, not on our servers. Your deals are then saved to your BuyBox account, encrypted in transit and at rest and isolated to you, so they’re on every device you sign in to, in the browser and in the desktop app. Using BuyBox requires an account.
Am I locked in?
Your numbers stay portable. Pro includes lender-ready Excel export (a two-tab workbook with live formulas and a full amortization schedule), and you can request a complete export of your data at any time by emailing privacy@probuybox.com.
